Austin’s Journey

Austin, a millennial, first learns about your organization on TikTok after a hurricane strikes his hometown. Though he no longer lives there, he still follows businesses in the area and feels compelled to support the cleanup efforts. Austin clicks on an ad on his phone, which leads him to a user-friendly donation page. Within minutes, he makes a donation. A last-minute prompt encourages him to set up a monthly gift, which he accepts. Austin continues to stay engaged with the organization through social media feeds, occasional emails, CTV and social media ads. He doesn’t regret making the gift and hopes to contribute more in the future as his financial situation improves.

Jennifer’s Journey

Jennifer’s mother battled cancer for many years until it finally took her life. Throughout this time, Jen supported a cancer organization by participating in walks, hosting social media fundraisers, and making year-end gifts for tax benefits. With her children now grown, Jen has more disposable income and time, and sometimes wonders how she might make a greater impact. One day, as if they had read her mind, someone from the cancer org calls to check in and invites Jen to join their special giving society. She gladly agrees. Since then, Jen has received personalized appreciation messages via email, mail packages, and invitations to special events. The org’s deft management of the relationship has made Jen feel appreciated and connected to the work. She plans to continue participating in this meaningful collaboration for many years to come.

Bob’s Journey

Bob, a Vietnam War veteran, first connected with a veterans’ support organization at a Memorial Day parade. Inspired by the org’s mission, he visited their website and made a $35 gift. Bob received personalized updates about the orgs impact and continued giving twice a year. Amid some family difficulties, he stopped donating for a while, but a mail piece inspired him to resume his giving. As Bob approached retirement, his financial advisor talked to him about donor advised funds (DAF). Bob had read about the power of DAFs in a mailing from the vets’ org and decided to use the vehicle to start making larger, more strategic gifts. Bob’s increased giving led to invitations to exclusive donor events. During a tour of a new facility for homeless vets, he was deeply moved and decided to support the project with a multi-year grant from his DAF. He feels a strong sense of purpose in supporting his fellow vets and intends to leave a legacy gift to the org from the residual of his DAF.

Donor Science visual representation from acquisition, retention, expansion and reactivation.

Donor Science uses Ai and granular data inputs to guide hundreds of fundraising decisions, reaching far beyond simply a target audience.

Donor Science captures accurate, complete, timely, and consistent data across a broader range of information. The capture, coding, and application of very granular data (most often overlooked) produces far more predictive and productive outputs that we can then apply to your direct mail or digital fundraising campaigns to boost donations and giving.

The Donor Science paradigm represents a monumental shift in how nonprofits approach, engage, and retain donors, ultimately enabling you to achieve your life-changing missions more efficiently and effectively. Not merely a trend or a passing fad, Donor Science is imperative for nonprofits seeking to thrive in an increasingly complex and competitive landscape.
